The plan

  • Friday: If you are travelling from abroad, there will be a barbecue in the garden at Bahnhofsallee 11, 15838 Am Mellensee, starting at 17:00. If the weather permits, bring your swimming costumes and take a cooling swim before eating.
  • Saturday: If you are interested, there is an fascinating place to visit nearby: Wünsdorf, where the Nazi government's logistics centre was located. Visit the Bunkers in Wünsdorf. I recommend booking this ahead of your trip.
    The birthday event is scheduled to start at 18:00 CET on Saturday 26 September. We will be hosted by the VAMA Restaurant

How to get here

It can be challenging to get here by public transport. The closest train station is Zossen, and a bus to Mellensee occasionally runs.

BER Airport is only 30–40 minutes away from Mellensee. It might be easier to rent a car if you're coming by car.

Taxis might be an option, but the one-way fare from BER to Mellensee is around €100. You may wish to order a local taxi to get here or to travel around, but these usually need to be booked in advance.
