As part of the project "Afterlives of Empire" I created a two-part artwork (both in the form of a cross) in accordance with the motto "Ora et Labora".
This cross is a mixed media work that deals with the politics of missionaries during German colonisation. This represents the public aspect of missionary work and is therefore much larger in scale as "Ora..." and shall represents the power of the cross on Cameroon and the distorted perspective on the artefacts stored in European museums.
